How to share the gospel in a place where everyone seems happy?
Happy. What is the definition of happy? well to many it is when everything seems just right and perfect. Right? Sometimes us christians look around and see everyone in good situations. they seem happy and perfect? they don't seem to cry or need God am I right? well there is only one problem with that Statement none of them are actually happy. Is that a revelation? well let me tell you how I know. In romans 3:23 it gives us a hint "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." so this means we have all sinned and we know that normally sinning means we go through lots of hurt right? so it really shows us that none of us are perfect. and I can tell you its often those who look the strongest who need help the most.
From my last post a new situation came into my mind. How do we share the gospel with someone who is not suffering? well, this is hard but it is possible. First I would recommend challenging the person. Like asking the person 'where are you going when you die?' and if the person is a atheist I might challenge them on the subject of evolution. Second I would pray for that person. And third I would invite that person to church if I felt the Lord leading me to. And its likely they will decline but if this is what happens make sure they know they are always welcome.
And as for you I want to encourage you... living for christ is not easy but it's worth it. I tell people who call me a Jesus freak this 'Jesus freak is one of the best names I could ever be given' I can promise you people will not always be kind about your faith. They will cal you names behind your back, and do many other things but I tell you this 'the greatest thing to ever do is to be persecuted for christ.' in Mathew 5:10-12 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.' I remind you this - our treasure is in heaven! GOD IS WITH US!
If you are still scared or worried and not sure if you can do it I ask you this - "what is our purpose on this earth? is it to serve Men or God?" (Galatians 1:10) "Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ"
GOD IS WORTH EVERYTHING!!!
